Interior Architecture Design 3 :
Project 1:
Project 1a : Site Investigation + Inventory (Group project )
For this project we where given a site and were asked to form 5 groups for different tasks as shown below :

GROUP 3 : BUILDING ANALYSIS + INTERIOR

The site : THE ROW
The Row comprises of 22no.s of 1950’s shop lots on Jalan Doraisamy , Kuala Lumpur which were previously known as ‘The Asian Heritage Row’.
I chosed to be in Art and culture group , for this group we have to gather data about the Social composition, income level, night life, lunch rush hour, age group, user/population group/profiling, behavioral patterns, habits, preferences, user types / lifestyle, occupations, competitor, facilities, etc .After analyzing all the data we have to represent it in A1 size board .

Project development:
Final outcome :
For our final project outcome we wanted to showcase the difference between the day and night life in the row , we made a rotating base attached in the middle of the board it's divided into two , representing the row one for the day life and one for the night life. The board is also divided into two parts the right side is fo the night life and and left side is for the day life showing the differences between the day and night in terms of behavior , age group , rush , type of people and the different activities from say and night .

Reflection :
This project was a group project , in total the whole class was divided into 5 groups to make a full resech on the site that was assigned to us ( the row) .I was in the group of art and culture , On the first day when we went to the site our group had to work more on the oustside of the row . So we went around the surrounding of the row walking in the street taking pictures and videos and observing people behavior and taking notes of everything we see , we also made some interviews asking them questions about the row to help with our research. Since on the site visit day we stayed from morning until afternoon we decided to go agine on another day from evening until late mid night to be able to observe the night life there and take pictures and videos ,we even went inside one of the shady clubs down the street and had a really bad experience that we showed in our board along with all the information we gathered from our two site visits .We also made a research about the row history to know more about its background and to find out why the number of visitors decreased from the past .After having all the information needed we divided the work among us so that everyone will have a part to do .At the end we managed to finish everything the way we wanted for the presentation and we were really happy and proud of the outcome .
Project 1b : Precedent Studies to Subject Matters (Individual)
For this project we were asked to make background research on a subject matter related to our own interest and obsession. we have to determine the essence, meaning, determine the process and function, emphasize the importance of meaningful and multi-layered definition and immersion into that particular interest and obsession.
My obsession is tattoo , so I have to do a extensive research on it and then display it in an info graphic way on an A2 size board .
Reflection :
For this project we had to choose something that we are obsessed with to make a research about and show itin details in an infographic board . My obsession is tattoo I love tattoos and the art behind it , I have always wanted to have a tattoo but I can't due to religion reasons ( Islam ) but I always get temporary air brush and sticker tattoos . So in this project I made a research about the different types of tattoo and all the tattoo methods and the history and the culture of tattoo art . I'm not really happy with the outcome of my board and I think that I could have done it better.
Project 2 : ‘Post-APOCALYPTIC’ Entity (Individual) :
-Scenario: Life as we know it will reach to its ‘extinction’, yet there are little remains survived and the unknown cause of destruction and apocalypse nature.
The task for this project is to come up with a narration of the cause of the apocalypse and the location of where one stand as an approach. From there, important elements of survival that shaped a new life-form will flourish from elements of; defence, devices, weaponry, culture, art, transportation, technology, survivability and many more that will projected into a functional conceptual model that represents our work artistically.
- The requirements are 1 A3 size abstract model inspired from the story we have created, and 1 A1 size presentation board with our story line and the design development of the model.
Reflection:
For this project I Struggled the most with coming up with the story board and finalizing all the drawing and the story I made a lot of changes through the process , after getting the storyboard done , I had to choose keywords from the story to use it in the conceptual model , I came up with six keywords which I used in the model and explained it in the presentation board .This project was by far my favorite one because it was a new experience I have never had to write a story and do sketches for it and also the ides of the conceptual model is really interesting for me and I'm really happy with the work that I did for this project .
Project 3 :
For this project, we have to create a space that is situated in The Row( the location from our project 1 ). We had two option, to either continue with our research from project 1b or make a space for a new idea , I decided to go with my obsession from project 1 ( tattoo ) . So I had the idea of creating a tattoo hub , a place that brings both tattoo lovers and artists together , where they can apply tattoo and learn about tattoo art .

Reflection:
To be honest this project was not easy to do it was really challenging for us , it was our first time working with a real site . I took make time to decide on the plans for this space and the design I'll work on , I didn't want to have a normal tattoo design shop like the classic design that is usually used instead I went for a futuristic interior design of the space . After getting the floor plans done I started with the 3d design of the space and since we are not really experienced with working with 3d softwares it took us sometime to get a hold of it and after that we had to render which was my favorite part because it gives you a realistic look of the space I have designed . I really enjoyed this project regardless of all the cups and downs during this process but I have learned a lot from this project and hopefully I'll try to improve even more to be able to produce a better work in the upcoming semesters .
